"Our Days" is based on a poem written by JL LeGerrette. She originally incorporated it into her small collection of short stories about her life with poems that she wrote for her children when they were small. Her poems bring to life the dichotomy of joyful emotions and frustrations which are often wrapped in hilarity while raising children. For children, as they are being read to, or reading on their own, she wants them to feel their importance, their beauty, and the deep love that others in this world have for them. JL LeGerrette has a small collection of short stories and poems titled The Colors of My Life, (PG) and an airport thriller set at PDX Airport in Portland, Oregon titled You're Clear. (PG) She is now turning the poems she wrote for her children when they were small (included in The Colors of My Life) into children's books. She lives in the Pacific Northwest, hating and loving the rain, cherishing Spring and Fall as old friends, and waiting anxiously for their peaceful visits.
