Family histories may be dry—but not this one. This well-researched narrative describes the historical context in which the family members emigrated from Europe and settled in the New World. They follow the direct male maternal and paternal lineage down through the ages. Included are photos of family members, their homes, and other illustrations, as well as substantial appendices that list and describe the several generations documented in this book. Linda McKay, a juried artiste, drew the cover page, as well as all chapter headings. The amount of detail provides an appreciation of the daily challenges each ancestor faced at a given time period. This is an outstanding book by a committed, highly competent, and experienced family team of sisters.
