The Title and Sub-Title of the book are, themselves the briefest of "teaser" synopsis. DEMOCRACY AND POWER IN THE SUDAN: How Decentralization Hurts Politically, "Decentralization" should be a positive portion of democracy. However, where power does tend to be absolute, decentralization is seen to be at variance with the views of those who enjoy power. The book goes on to state how most African politicians have wrongly conceived the idea of nationalism, hence, creating a misunderstanding around tribal sentiments they call "tribalism". Tribalism is, in fact, a portion of nationalism at the tribal level. Such sentiments deserve their place in any democracy, rather than to be smeared. Used Book in Good Condition
