The Atlas shows the geographical distribution of catches (by weight) in the Pacific Ocean of principal market tuna species (albacore, bigeye, northern and southern bluefin, skipjack and yellowfin), billfishes (black marlin, blue marlin, striped marlin) and swordfish. Most data are presented at 5ª latitude x 5ª longitude squares resolution. A small portion of data for the Pacific off Southeast Asia is presented without any geographic resolution as this information was unavailable. The distribution of recent catches is provided as a graphical overview in some maps while distribution from a historical perspective is shown in others. For ease of reference, the complete set of compiled data (catches for 5ª x 5ª squares resolution) can be found on the diskette supplied with the Atlas. Specific data are provided therein on catches by fishing gear, species, year and quarter for 1962 to 1995. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
