COME RACE HAWAIIAN SEAS! . Beginning from the first canoe ride as a child at Kalapaki Beach, where the canoe is swamped by a wave, to racing in “The World’s Largest Long Distance Canoe Race” as the President of his canoe club some forty years later. Along the way were several adventures. Paddling in Majuro lagoon in the Marshall Islands. Part of the memorial scattering of ashes as crew in a grand old Koa racing canoe. Being “mugged” by a Humpback cow and her calf on Maui. Being part of a novice crew paddling a canoe alone 18 miles along the Kona Coast.
