Pambuan Arnis Continuing the Legacy by Woody Woodman As a martial artist and illustrator, I would always make notes and document lessons learned from my martial arts teachers. This book contains ten chapters covering many drills over several disciplines withing the Pambuan family of Filipino martial arts. Such as single stick, double stick, knife, sarong and espada daga or long and short knife fighting system. Originally each lesson would be recorded in a little yellow book and sold each year at our annual Pambuan family gathering. To better preserve this unique legacy for future generations for my teacher Ama Guro Raffy Pambuan and the memory of his Father Lolo Guro Isidro Pambuan, I had each volume collected in this book. Beside detailed descriptions and step by step instructions of these techniques the book is stuffed with artwork from t-shirt designs, fliers and even a few cartoons with wisdom from Lolo Guro himself. Many of these illustrations feature other Filipino martial arts masters you might recognize which we have had the privilege of sharing and training with over the years.
