Steve Miller travels to Africa to rescue an imprisoned chemical engineer who has a deadly secret of his own. While attempting to complete this nearly impossible mission, he must first negotiate with a repressive regime which is led by an evil king. To further complicate matters ---- after being framed for a murder he did not commit --- he must also defend himself against jungle rebels, foreign spies, a prehistoric monster, and an enraged general who uses alien technology to destroy all of his enemies. There are also two completely different romances which take place in this storyline. Each romantic twist both directly and indirectly effects the entire story on multiple levels. Betrayals and dark secrets then provide a dark cloud over an already tense situation. Deception and greed steadily push the individual characters toward an abys of trouble, while also setting the stage for a possible horrific conclusion. This story is also a set of extremes. Love leads to obsession. Deception leads to murderous rage. Greed leads to war. Finally, dark secrets lead to a deadly quagmire of destruction --- emotional, psychological , and physical destruction.
