"Look out everyone!" yelled Chance the redheaded rooster. "What is going on?" shouted Bessie the cow. Bradley the mouse screamed, "The sky is falling, that's what! This can't be, Mattie, the mouse is having her babies tonight!" Bessie the cow asked, "Where is she?" Bradley, Peevee's cousin, replied, "In her nest under the barn!" Chance the redheaded rooster spoke up, "I'll go and check on her!" Off he went, squawking all the way. When Chance got to her, she had four little babies cuddled up close to her. All of a sudden, a huge bolt of lightning hit the earth, frightening everyone in the barnyard at the Pickin's farm. Rays of sparkling light shaped like swords surrounded the barn! It startled Chance so much he ran for cover. When he came out, he checked on Mattie lo and beheld baby number five! This one was different; he had a pink nose!
