My name is Simon Spence and I'm the author of Early Myths Books, a collection of children's stories covering the greatest of the Greek Myths! I started writing for children back in 2014 when my first daughter was 4 years old and wanted to read about Perseus and Jason & the Argonauts. I found it hard to find an inspiring myth book for her age group and so I decided to dive right in and start my own series! My two girls have now grown up but are still involved in the creation and writing of these books.   Many of the Greek myth books are aimed at teenagers and I wanted to use my knowledge to create stories which bring them to life for a younger group. My books are aimed at 4 to 10 year olds, with bright and exciting pictures, and fun stories of the heroes and gods.   We've won a ton of book awards for story, design and illustration. Then in 2018, we were honoured to have the foreword for our fifth book, "Persephone", written by actor, director, comedian and writer, Stephen Fry.
