The application is very simple: the coal smolder is filled with self-cut logs or branches. Use hardwoods for example from fruit trees, birch trees or beech. Then insert the two parts into each other and place the smolder directly in a fire.

Now the same thing happens inside the coal smolder, as in a traditional coal industry: Thanks to the low-oxygen combustion, also called pyrolysis, charcoal is created. You can see this from the smoke, which is only yellow and turns white after a few hours. If this is the case, remove the coal smoulder from the fire and let it cool overnight.
