We use a medium grade plastisol providing maximum action but enough durability to allow multiple fish catches per bait. Rigging: The ideal rigging option for maximum casting distance and maximum action is on a ball head jig or swimbait jighead. Use a 7' medium action spinning rod, w/braid to floro leader, a 1/4 oz or heavier jig head. Cast it out, let the bait fall on semi slack line until it hits the bottom, than give the rod a quick twitch upwards, and begin a slow steady retrieve. Add in occasional rod twitches during the retrieve.
