He lives in Pennsylvania Furnace, Pennsylvania, and Mesa, Arizona. Paul Weamer is a Fly Fisherman magazine contributing editor and the author or co-author of several fly fishing books.  He is a licensed Montana fishing guide, former New York State licensed fishing guide, and the owner of Weamer Fly Fishing, LLC.  Paul has managed fly shops and guide services in New York, Pennsylvania, and Montana and has been a production fly tier as well as a contract fly designer for Montana Fly Company.  He is also the designer of the Daiichi Hook model #1230, Weamer's Mayfly Hook Paul is one of the founders of the Friends of the Upper Delaware River (FUDR) and the 2009 winner of FUDR's Upper Delaware "One Bug" tournament. He received the 2011 Upper Delaware Council's Recreation Award for his book, The Fly Fishing Guide to the Upper Delaware River.  Paul's book, The Bug Book, was featured as Amazon's third highest customer-rated fly fishing book by wideopenspaces.com.  Paul is an accomplished photographer, specializing in aquatic insect macro photography and his photos have appeared in many books and magazine articles.
