Every trip to the store I felt like I was flushing my grocery budget down the drain because half my produce would go bad before I could use it.

I dealt with that for the longest time.

I started researching why this kept happening, and that's when I discovered the culprit: trapped moisture.

It turns out that the plastic containers I thought were protecting my produce were actually suffocating them.

Fruits and vegetables need to breathe, just like they do in nature, but my storage was creating a humid prison that accelerated decay.
