In this book, I do not show pictures of airplane wings because they mean very little to us. One, they operate upside down compared to our wings and two, they operate at much higher speeds. I talk about downforce as the force pushing us into the track and lift as the force trying to lift us from the track. I have tried to keep my data in an easy to understand format and I do not necessarily use the correct scientific wording, but rather words and descriptions that everyone can understand. I also do not spend any time talking about wind tunnels. You, as Joe average racer, will never see the inside of a wind tunnel, so why waste expensive print space on the technology? I have tried to deal with everyday issues and answers for the average racer. I hope this book will help in some small way.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
