Perfect for fans of Western history or vintage TV, this walking cane for men channels the legendary aura of Bat Masterson. It’s a stylish gift and a unique walking Cane for women or anyone who appreciates American folklore. Bat Masterson lived quite an intriguing life during the times on the American Wild West days. He was well known as buffalo hunter, U.S. Marshall, Army scout, fisherman, gambler, and frontier lawman and even a sports editor and columnist for the New York Morning Telegraph. His popularity with a cane grew from using one on the television series "Bat Masterson". His use of a cane on the show was not for character development all in itself, but he was actually shot in the pelvis during a gunfight by Corporal Melvin A. King. This gunfight was allegedly over a girl.

His television series only amplified his portray of the character that really sold the story into legend that he needed to carry a cane for the rest of his life. Masterson was portrayed by Gene Barry in the television series, which aired on NBC in 108 episodes from 1958 to 1961 and featured Masterson as a superbly dressed gambler, generally outfitted in a black suit and derby hat, who was more inclined to "bat" crooks over the head with his gold-knobbed cane than shoot them. This cane replica that is available should not be used to bat people over the heads, if you can manage to control your urges. Think of this cane as a celebratory piece of history that is not only stylish, but will hold sentimental value for many years to come.
