She received her MFA in acting from SUNY Binghamton and her BA in theatre, with distinction, from the University of Delaware. She has performed in plays, films, industrials, and new media. She has been teaching acting privately at studios and school and in workshops around the country for the past nineteen years. Janet has written, directed, and produced a variety of independent films. Her film Not Scene (which she wrote and directed) was produced by Filmmakers in Action, and her co-written, award-winning film Power Singles was produced and directed by Hourglass Films. Janet, along with collaborator Barbara Lhota, co-produced and co-wrote the short film Blindsided for their company Fearless Flicks. Janet also wrote, produced, and directed the short film The Sleepover in association with Je Suis Talent and Glass City Films. She co-wrote (with Barbara Lhota), directed and produced Meredith s Magic Wand with her new film company Bold Vision Films. Janet produced and directed the film Sick Smelly Dirty Politics, which she co-wrote with Barbara Lhota. Most recently, Janet wrote, directed, and produced the short films Where There s a Will... and The Survivors for Fearless Flicks. Janet is the founder of the Chicago Female-Focused Film Meetup and Festival and Bold Vision Films. Janet was a co-organizer of the film group Filmmakers in Action. She is a co-founder of the film company Fearless Flicks. Janet is also a member of Women in Film and the Chicago Acting in Film Meetup.
