Looking for a short middle school play? This script has it all, from compelling characters that break out of the mold, to several speaking parts and an ensemble. Princess in a Tower is a two-act middle school script with eighteen parts. The play can be produced with a minimum of 9 actors. Duration: 50 minutes Plot: Twas a long time ago when King Lylan of Nyria decided that the best way to get his youngest daughter, Princess Alliandra, married to a prince was to lock her in a tower. But Allie refuses to follow the classic "wait for the prince" fairy tale. She's gonna write her own destiny. On her quest for freedom, she meets a kind fairy-godmother-in-training, a less-than-kind, slightly evil, fairy godmother, a knight who loves animals, a stuffy prince out for revenge, an orphaned peasant girl, and one very tall dwarf. Filled with comedy, magic, emotion, friendship, nicknames and destiny, Princess in a Tower is not your average fairy tale.
