This is a chute Latch Plunger that fits almost all T Handle and ADA Lever Handles that have the V Spindle on the back of the latch, including styles commonly paired with brass door handles. It is often called a Midland style cylinder that is used for both bottom hinged and side hinged chute intake doors.
The plunger has a barrel and case tube that uses a 1-3/4" set back or sometimes called a 1-24/32" backset from the front round face of the tube casing to the center of the spindle hole opening. There is also a lose spring that goes in the case, and an additional spring that you will is as part of the bolt mechanism.
The latch barrel assembly is for both a trash ( rubbish ) and or a laundry ( linen ) chute intake door, and is often used in systems installed near brass door handles in multi-unit buildings.
COMPATIBILITY: Although commonly called a Midland style handle, it is compatible with 95% of the chute doors in the industry, including Acme Chutes, Action Chutes (ACM-TH KIT), American Chute Systems, Century Chutes, Chutes Doctor Dr (500101), Chutes International (0014), Cutler Chutes, Midland Metalcraft Chutes, US Chutes (ID-02M), Valiant Chutes, Western Chutes, and much more...
