520 Pitch (1/4" chain roller) 4140 nickel-chromoly steel front sprocket Available in four tooth sizes - 14T, 15T, 16T, 17T Case hardened to Rc 58-60 and Silver Zinc Plated to protect from corrosion Lightened with drilled holes to save on rotating mass 100% CNC machined instead of gear hobbing to guarantee accurate tooth profiles This Pro-tek 520 Pitch (1/4" chain roller width) front sprocket is completely CNC machined to exact tolerances from 4140 nickel-chromoly steel resulting in accurate tooth profiles.

This sprocket is available in four sizes - 14T, 15T, 16T, 17T.

This is Not gear-hobbed like other sprockets insuring that the teeth fit precisely on the chain rollers insuring maximum chain and sprocket life along with a more efficient power transmission. The sprocket is lightened with drilled holes to save on rotating mass. Every lb of rotating mass equates to a 4 lb weight reduction. It is case hardened to Rc 58-60 and finished with a silver zinc plating for added durability and protection from corrosion.
This sprocket is brand new manufactured in the US from Pro-tek, a leading manufacturer in the industry for over 30 years.

This Pro-tek front sprocket is made for a 2018-2024 KTM 790 Adventure Duke R/ L 16T Front/41T Rear Stock Gearing, 520-118 Links Stock Chain

The gear ratio is ratio of teeth between front & rear sprockets. This determines how engine RPM translates into wheel speed by bike. Changing sprocket sizes, front or rear, changes this ratio which changes the way bike puts power to the ground. With respect to stock gearing, installing a smaller front sprocket (fewer teeth), or a larger rear sprocket (more teeth), provides a lower gear ratio increasing acceleration of the bike but decreasing top speed. Conversely, installing a larger front or smaller rear provides a higher ratio which decreases the acceleration but increases top speed. Every one tooth change in the front is equal to a 3 tooth change in the rear. So a rear change more than two teeth means adding/removing chain links.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
