Save the hardware after removing your old parts to use when re-installing. Step One - Gather your gloves and safety glasses. Take note of the parts assembly order on your chair. They will need to go back the same way. Take a picture if needed. Step Two - Remove the old plates from your swivel rocker. Step Three - You will need to drill four holes. Carefully line up a new part with your old one. Hold them together with a vise or vise grips. Step Four - Drill the holes slightly larger than the bolt so they will pass through the hole freely. Leave a minimum of 3/8 inches between the edge of the plate and the outside of the hole to maintain structural integrity. Step Five - After drilling the holes, inspect the part to ensure there are no cracks before installing. Step Six - Important. The bolts and nuts should never be in direct contact with the plates. Ensure the rocker plates are between the chair frame and a metal bar or washer.
