Touch up any exposed metal. Use a rubber mallet for installation How to install: Items needed - Rubber mallet or rubber hammer: screwdriver or pliers. Tape is optional but can be helpful. 1 - Important. First, make sure your foot cup has an inner diameter of 1-1/2" 2 - Use whatever tool you can (screwdriver or pliers) to remove the old chair feet. 3 -After removing the old parts, clean the cup area well. Remove all dirt, debris, rust, etc. Use sandpaper if you need it. Touch up any exposed bare metal. 4 - Place your chair or table upside down on a piece of cardboard or a towel to prevent scratching. 5 - To install the replacement caps, you must use some force since they are friction fit. Use a rubber mallet or rubber hammer. Do not use a regular hammer, as this can crack the glide. 6 - Place the glide on top of the cup so it is level. A piece of tape can be helpful to hold the glide in place if you are having trouble. 7 - Once the glide is in place, strike the glide directly in the middle and down into the cup. Start with a medium strike to get the glide set in the cup and confirm it is going in level. 8 - Once the glide is partially in the cup, you can continue to hit it the rest of the way. 9 - A ridge circling the outside of the plastic foot glide will be shaved off when inserted, ensuring a tight fit. 10 - Relax and enjoy the rest of the day!
