This anthology is the official publication of World without Anger (WWA), a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote peace. This collection of peer-reviewed papers stemmed from presentations given at the 6th International WWA conference, titled “Global Peace and Emotional Intelligence for Education, Cultural Diversity, Harmony and Behavior Management”. The contributions reflect diverse, international perspectives on peace-related subjects. The topics include anger cognition and management; the study of self-referential and inclusive language; indigenous perspectives on peace; associations of stress with cardiovascular parameters; strategies to reduce anger through dance; personality traits including agreeableness among public employees; human resource development; emotional intelligence and technology project outcomes among ethnic minorities; the association of emotional maturity and academic performance; and emotional awareness and decision-making. The contributors’ backgrounds in psychology, business, education, and other fields bring a rich, multidisciplinary perspective to this publication. Murari Prasad Regmi, DPhil, is a leading behavioural scientist in Asia. Previously, he was Head of the Central Department of Psychology at the Kirtipur Campus of Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, and he has conducted ground-breaking research in the areas of emotional intelligence and cross-cultural psychology. Professor Regmi has contributed to Psychology Moving East (1987) and the International Encyclopedia of Adolescence (2007), and is the co-author of Learning in Nepal (1997). Karen B. Schmaling received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Washington State University in Vancouver, Washington, USA. Her interests include diversity in higher education, and chronic medically unexplained conditions and depressive disorders. Dr Antigonos Sochos is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, University of Bedfordshire, UK. He is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. His main academic interests lie in attachment theory and the integration of psychodynamic and social psychological approaches.
