Nursing homes have to collect and submit quality measures about how well they’re running their organizations to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Various aspects of clinical care are coded into a standardized set of data elements called the minimum data set, or MDS. This book will go over the quality measures that take data from the MDS coding elements, as well as avoiding common errors in calculating those quality measures.
