Dave Mastren grew up in the Lakewood and Long Beach area of Southern California, where he honed his bartending skills at beloved local spots including Fiddler's Three Bar and Galley, Adolph's at the Queensway Hilton, and McKenna's Creek. His journey eventually led him to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where he became a partner at The Ground Round-now known as Nosworthy's Hall of Fame.Upon returning to Southern California, Dave took on the role of General Manager at The Naples Rib Joint, where he met his wife, Donna. He later left the restaurant world to earn a degree in Business and Management, launching a successful 30-year career in Information Systems.Now retired, Dave enjoys golfing, baking, and-of course-entertaining. Drawing on many years of hands-on experience and a lifelong love of hospitality, he brings creativity, warmth, and authenticity to every cocktail he shares. Dave Dunbar was born and raised in La Crescenta, California. While attending Chico State University, he landed his first bartending job at the popular Mexican restaurant La Hacienda. With no experience and plenty of pressure, it was trial by fire-but Dave thrived behind the bar and quickly discovered a lifelong passion for crafting cocktails.After college, he returned to the Los Angeles area and honed his skills at a number of Pasadena hotspots, including The Barkley, The Flintridge Inn, Barney's, and Brookside Country Club. Though he eventually moved on from California-and from professional bartending-his love for mixing drinks never faded.Today, Dave lives in Hawaii, where his home bar is a regular gathering place for friends and family. He's still experimenting, still perfecting, and always ready to shake up something unforgettable.
