She married her high school sweetheart, Leon, and together they have two wonderful children—Haley, a Nuclear Medicine Technician living in Calgary, and Leland, a Computer Programmer living in Halifax. A once struggling reader and writer, Tanya persevered through school and went on to become a teacher, then a principal, and now serves as a Literacy Coordinator. Rosie Zooms with Love is her second book, following her debut, Kindness Wins . Rosie is the family’s second Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever; their first Toller, Maya, passed away from cancer at just four years old. Rosie also faced cancer but beat it, making this book even more meaningful to the Carter family.
