These white washers go between the toilet bowl and the silver washer in order to not crack the bowl. Don't over tighten.
What is the trick to install the kit to ensure the ball valve holds water in the bowl?
The ball has to be clean and smooth and the seal has to be seated flush, check the shaft to make sure it is sealed properly,
also while you have it apart change the o rings on the shaft. Or ssk that question on you tube and they will show you a step by step video, it was easy after that .
