The marriage records in this work were compiled from church registers rather than licenses. They cover 1685-1810 and comprise about 65,000 entries, arranged for the most part under both bride and groom. Over half of Vol. I is the marriage records of Christ Church (1709-1810) and Swedes' Church (1750-1810) of Philadelphia. The rest are records from churches at Carlisle, Chester, Falkner Swamp, New Hanover, Paxtang, and Derry. Used Book in Good Condition
