Arvin Miller is an accountant in a small midwestern town who gets fired, gets desperate, then finds himself in a position he doesn’t want to be in. One morning he hears a radio newscast and realizes he may be a suspect in a murder he knows nothing about. As he struggles to clear his name and save his marriage, Arvin deals with the sudden death of a co-worker and develops an unexpected friendship with an illegal immigrant. As the plot spins up, Arvin helps to identify and uncover a transportation network that brings residents of Mexico to new homes in the US. Arvin travels from hot, musty storage units in the Midwest to a luxurious Mexican resort to uncover disparate facts and interpret unlikely occurrences. When his ad hoc team attempts to provide answers to questions that seem to beget only more questions, Arvin transforms from a shy, self-satisfied person to an inquisitive, sensitive, courageous man willing to go to great extremes to help individuals improve their lives.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
