This story is about my personal journey through life. Growing up in Florida, seeing my grandfather’s success, going through my parents’ divorce, moving to California, and attending a private prep school all shaped the foundation of my early years. Inheriting a million dollars at a young age added yet another layer of complexity to my upbring. As I worked to complete college and mature into adulthood, I came to understand that life holds far more value than material possessions. In my retirement, I discovered a deep passion for writing about history. I have authored articles on topics such as pilot boats, sea captains, shipbuilders, artists, politicians, and am currently focused on exploring the rich history of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
