Remembrance: A Tribute to America's Veterans is the first book to portray veterans and military funeral scenes from all of America's wars in a series of outstandingly precise watercolor paintings and pencil drawings. With compelling scenes from the Revolutionary War to the Afghanistan War, Remembrance: A Tribute to America's Veterans tells the story of the nation's 26.2 million veterans who are alive today and all who came before them. Nearly half of all Americans who served during wartime in our country's history are still alive, and nearly 80 percent of today's veterans served during a war. Remembrance: A Tribute to America's Veterans pays tribute to those warriors by providing a new view of every major war in our nation's history and a view of a veteran's life that has not been addressed before. Remembrance is a wonderful tribute to all of America's veterans. --Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Richard Kolb, VFW Magazine Remembrance will enable generations of all ages to find appreciation and gratitude for our fallen heroes. --Former Congressman and WWII Veteran Ben Gilman, New York The artwork is emotionally moving and the historical accounts are extremely informative and thought provoking. --Colonel Ronald E. Elliott, U.S. Army, retired While you consider this book please check out the accompanying CD Remembrance: A Musical Tribute to America's Veterans , a remarkable collection of songs and musicians that infuses timeless patriotic and war-time songs with new life and meaning. This CD is also available on amazon.com. Remembrance was created from a desire to pay tribute in some small way to what veterans have done throughout America's history to preserve our freedom. A loved one lost in war never leaves the hearts of parents, brother, sisters, wives, husbands, and fellow veterans. They live with their memories every day of their lives. Remembrance is meant to honor our veterans and gently help all of America to better understand what they have given. It is also a way for new generations who have known no war to learn both what veterans have done and the sacrifices we as a nation have made. America's veterans are a symbol of our culture by their teamwork during times of war, their individualism as civilians, and always their undaunted faith. The word Remembrance was chosen very specifically. It is vital that we recognize our veterans, their families, and what they have contributed. They will never forget their wartime experiences. May we never forget them. -Bob and Rob Fletcher Robert A.
