This book of short stories is titled, "Remembrances: Stories Not to Forget." In this collection of stories, the experiences of childhood games, the love of grandparents and Puerto Rican roots are intertwined. As the title suggests, it seeks to evoke moments from the past—memories that belong either to the individual or to the collective experience of a people. Each story in this book carries a positive message. Although born from the author’s imagination and creativity, they are rooted in individual or collective experiences of our lives, weaving. together fiction and reality. Together, these stories also include insights into the origins of several of the games mentioned or the protagonists themselves, with the aim of enriching the reader’s understanding. The themes explored include childhood games, family traditions, and the coquí as a cultural icon and source of pride. In addition to other experiences with which readers may identify.
