Ci xuan is a collection of poems and poetry complied by Zhang yuyan, which records 44 poets and 116 poems in all. This paper contains two volumes. The first volume is a general instruction, which gives a brief introduction of Ci at the macro level. In this volume, author talks about the prosperity of Ci and analyses the reason of it. The second volume is detailed instruction, which talks about the value of classic poems and poets in Qing dynasty. It also analyses individual cases of poets.
