Revelations and Broken Oaths is the second part of an enchanting four part science-fiction fantasy tale of intrigue, magic, mystery, drama, excitement, and romance. Explore Edenland through the imaginative eyes of Lyla, a determined young woman who was spirited away into world. It is a continuation of The Ardent Sorcerer Series, and takes place about 20 years after Silas Strathern's story. Lyla was unable to escape Edenland, she made a critical error when she thought she could wield magic like the sorcerers do and escape from the antiquated Sequestrate world. She resigned her fate as a guest in Silas Strathern's manor but feels more like a prisoner. In the interim, she builds a friendship with the sorcerer's apprentice, Samuel, as he sharpens his own skills despite a fierce rivalry with newcomer, William. Meanwhile, Lyla's friends back on earth signed a contract with sensationalist, Charles Penrod, to take part a reality TV series focused around making contact with Lyla through supposed "séances," with Samuel's help, which only exposes Charles for the charlatan he is. In time, Lyla finds she and Samuel share unique bond that transcends everything they imagined possible, especially bound by a sorcerer's oath. A near death experience and revelations manifested in dreams set the stage for the impact of the shocking truth that is discovered and for what is to come. There is an amusing juxtaposition between the modern and archaic, cultural appreciation and culture shock (there are several references to culture, art, music, movies and trends throughout these books. please treat as a fun scavenger hunt to challenge yourself!) Also, trendy slang versus a good dose of Shakespearean quips and insults. As usual, the author avoided AI like the plague, if at all possible. All art and written work was done by a human and author will demonstrate humility by owning up to any and all errors...besides said author uses a pseudonym, anyway! Another fun read. The adventure continues!
