When I first became a believer in Christ, I was taught that I was saved by grace but it was more or less a theological term. There was no doubting that. I knew that I had not, by any means, earned my salvation. It was all of God. Yet, grace itself seemed to me to be far off and mystical. I began to diligently search out what grace is. My desire was to see grace close at hand. I wanted grace to be something tangible in my life. I believe that the best way to understand something is to actually conduct oneself in it. The definitions of grace found in this book are kept on a simple level. These same definitions will allow you to act in grace, and thus begin to grasp the true meaning.
