He also happens to be the acclaimed author of Mahjong from A to Zhú, the editor-in-chiefof Mahjong News, and the author of Tiles of the Unexpected, acolumn published in the international periodical The Mahjong Collector.He's competed internationally in mahjong championships and pickup gamesin places near and far, from Austria to Nepal, and many countriesin between. Dr. Miller has shared his books and knowledgewith people of all walks of life from children to heads of state. Forhis mahjong knowledge and expertise, Dr. Miller has been certified bythe European Mahjong Association as one of their original riichimahjong referees; he also refereed for the first World RiichiChampionship hosted in Paris in 2014.
