Travis Lee is a "fired" deputy sheriff, sort of retired businessman, former Florida Gators linebacker, and an AOPA pilot. He likes huntin,' fishin,' and country music. Monica Daniel, M.D., Psychiatry, (U. of Maryland & Johns Hopkins Medical School) loves sailing, runs a mile three times each week, listens to NPR and smooth jazz. After a shooting incident, a 19th Circuit judge asks Monica to do a psychological evaluation of Travis. Travis refuses. But fate brings them together anyway. Monica is about to "get a little mud on the tires" of her Mercedes. A Miami gang hit man stalks Travis. A MS-13 pure evil killer arrives in town. What could possibly go wrong for this imperfectly matched couple? Answer: Plenty! Took me two years to write my first novel. Well, actually it took me one year to write the book, and a second year learning what I should put in and what I shouldn't. I wanted to write a male-genre-suspense involving a Gator, an ex-deputy, the Indian River, and gang violence. I tossed in a Jewish psychiatrist--and she began stealing the story. It became a Romance. (Yuck!) Travis Lee and Dr. Monica Daniel are now famous(!), at least they are to my Postal Service young lady. (I think she's in love with Travis.)
