Levi Walsh and his daughter Becca are reunited, and in the hope that parts of their country were spared by the disaster that left their native Florida in chaos, they set out on a quest to find answers. They take refuge on an abandoned farm in central Alabama, and for a time find peace and security. But danger lurks in a nearby small town, where a ruthless dictator has enslaved the population and is spreading terror to neighboring areas. Levi resists involvement, but the suffering of innocent survivors draws father and daughter into the growing tragedy. Levi and Becca have proven they are a formidable team, but can one man and a teen-aged girl confront a trained, vicious militia force?
