The Canon Law Society of America is pleased to publish the Proceedings of the Eighty-First Annual Convention, which convened in Atlantic City, New Jersey, from October 14 through October 17, 2019, at the Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel. The convention Proceedings have been published for almost fifty years, thus providing a significant volume of presentations and reports. We are grateful to the presenters who submitted their texts for this publication. The texts have been edited to be in conformity with the most recent CLSA style sheet, publication guidelines, and previous editions of CLSA Proceedings. Included in this edition are minutes of the Society's annual business meeting, varia, and a list of the participants at the Atlantic City convention. Special thanks are extended to Ms. Susan Mulheron and Monsignor John Foster, both of whom spent many hours assisting with the editing of this edition of Proceedings, in preparation for publication. The CLSA, established as a professional association on November 12, 1939, presently has more than 1,100 members who minister in more than thirty-five countries. Interested persons may apply for membership via the CLSA website or by contacting the administrative office. We offer Active, Associate and Student memberships to qualified persons. Additional copies of this 2019 volume of Proceedings may be purchased from the online bookstore at www.clsa.org.
