Marcelo Ramos Motta is a key figure in Twentieth Century esoterism. Having joined Arnoldo Krumm-Heller's Fraternitas Rosicruciana Antiqua as a young man, he became an extremely influential figure in Rosicrucianism, and the global orders Argentum Astrum (A. A.) and Ordo Templi Orientis (O. T. O.). The current manuscript, written in 1952 when Motta was 21, and long thought lost, was found in the papers of Arnoldo Krumm-Heller, which are now in the possession of his grandson, the editor or this volume. This work, a full length essay, is not to be confused with Motta's shorter treatment of the same subject, which has been available for some time. Rosa+Crux - The Light in the West, displays Motta at his best. He was clearly a person of extraordinarily highly developed spirituality, intellect, and depth of humanity. Rosa+Crux – The Light in the West is studded with insights and rich in wisdom, and is, we suggest, intensely relevant to the modern world – Rosicrucianism being of course, as Motta compellingly argues, a movement for all time.

How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
