This collection of Short Stories, Poems and Reminiscences of an old Vietnam Vet, is not for the delicate flowers of the current generation. However, those of a certain age, whether they served in Vietnam or not, will identify with most of it and, perhaps see it for what is...the end of life ramblings of a tough old bastard, who, even at the age of 80 years, has no intention of giving up the ghost. Not yet. As the forward reads; Some people, who have read this book, have found it to be funny. Others have found it disgusting. Still others think it is a bit demented, while ridiculous in places. There are some gentle souls who find it unnerving, and yet others are at a loss for words to categorize it at all. In my defense, I was battling three kinds of cancer due to Agent Orange exposure when I wrote most of it it. Cancers I contracted from my service to my country in the US Army in Vietnam. I find that writing takes my mind off my medical problems. And I hope reading it will give you the same respite from the trials we all face every day. Why am I still here. I would guess it has something to do with sins left unatoned for. The rest of my life I will attempt to heal some of the scars I have caused others through out my life. God bless you all and especially the Vets. Heaven and hell are states of mind.
