Instructions for use:
- Ensure correct fit by verifying that SMART-O-PLUG has the same thread diameter and thread pitch of your original sump plug.
- Use a torque wrench and apply OE specified torque. Or refer to SmarTorq specs: 24.4 Nm (petrol engines) / 40.6 Nm (diesel engines). DO NOT torque plugs above 40.6 Nm.
- Aluminium washer is not reusable, always replace washer with every oil change.
- Plug is reusable but only if O-ring is intact, not worn and not damaged.
- Always inspect plug threads and O-ring surface before installation and reuse.
- Do not install plug in oil pans with heli-coil inserts or in thin steel oil pans where O-ring might protrude beyond the thread area, preventing the O-ring from working properly.
