From the Golden Age of comics comes this remastered, color tribute edition of a character created by two of the comic book greats - STRONGMAN! In 1947, JERRY SIEGEL & JOE SHUSTER , the creators of Superman were embroiled in a lawsuit with National Comics, and pulled up stakes and moved their art operation over to Vin Sullivan's Magazine Enterprises. While there, Siegel teamed up with renowned artist BOB POWELL (CAVE GIRL, TERROR) to create a character who is a modern day Hercules - Strongman!Wearing a leopard skin unitard, Strongman was the epitome of bodybuilding and mind-body connection. A circus performer who, as a child suffered a terrible accident. Taken in by the carny folk they help the young boy rebuild and remake his broken body teaching him all sorts of additional skills - magic, acrobatics, martial arts, and science. Strongman became a combination of Tarzan and Doc Savage. and decided to apply his great strength to help mankind. The comic lasted for four issues , but comic fans remember it fondly as they do Strongman's creators. We hope you'll enjoy this remastered tribute edition that cleans up previous editions of the book, and presents a brighter, sharper reading experience.
