May those beautiful words of St. Louise's ring in our hearts: "The poor stretch out their hands to us, but it is God who receives what we give to them." Louise was a saint who, because of her love for God and her forgetfulness of self, accomplished so much for the poor of France and, through her Daughters, for the poor of the whole world. Her great love for teh poor enabled her to serve these suffering members of Christ with the same lively faith and love as if Our Lord Himself had been visibly present to her. She reached their souls by caring for their bodies. She rekindled their faith in God by her own confidence in His mercy. And last, but not least, she inspired them with her own deep love of Mary Immaculate. Enjoy this journey through the beautiful life of St. Louis de Marillac, told in a pane-by-pane view, similar to a comic book, but with a story. May God be praised in His angels and in His saints!
