When a school friend is poisoned with fentanyl, Bolt realizes his small Mad River Valley community is no longer safe. When the gang finds a stache of drugs in an abandoned house near Gram and Gramp’s house, the cartels threaten the gang. After the military hides the gang in a secret coastal camp, the gang finds drugs on the beach. They fly their magic carts out to sea, looking for drug transport boats, but find a strange tube rising from the ocean. After the tube off-loads drugs to a power boat, it recedes into the ocean and disappears into a larger tube which extends north and south as far as they can see. The gang realizes they have found a new drug route, and vow to explore and destroy it. And then Bolt’s mom and Aves’ neighbor are kidnapped. After initial conflict, the camp counselor agrees to help, and the gang begins a quest that takes them all the way around the tip of Florida, out to an unusual Cuban circle, and eventually into Mexico. With time running out, will the gang be able to use their wit and magic to find and destroy the drug cartel headquarters? Can they escape an underground prison before it is destroyed? And will they be able to destroy Satan’s Subway
