Jessica gets unexpected custody of her six year old niece, Avery. She is in the middle of moving half way across the country to juggle a new job and now has to take care of a child that she never wanted to begin with. Now, Jessica has to keep Avery safe from her abusive father while trying to adjust to a new position at work. Throw in an annoying neighbor who can't seem to keep his distance plus random accidents that keep happening to Jessica and her niece, she seems to have more on her plate than she can handle.
