SAVORING THE ELEMENTS brings together the new poetry and prose of Stuart Bartow, Howard Nelson, Freya Manfred, and many other past contributors to Wood Thrush Books anthologies with nature writing by a few newcomers. Excerpts from Scott King’s Following the Earth Around: Journal of a Naturalist’s Year are also presented here, along with selections from recent WTB publications by Walt Franklin, Helen Ruggieri and Walt McLaughlin. This anthology, like those in the past, focuses upon each writer’s engagement with the natural world and their eloquent response to it.
