Margie Ullery ’s mom taught her how to sew when she was a young girl. By the age of 12 she was making her own clothes for school. She made her first quilt at age 14 and still has it today. In 2008, her love for designing grew and expanded to include quilts. In 2010, Margie started Ribbon Candy Quilt Company. The quilts she designs are for the busy, so her patterns are usually fast and easy. She loves using fusible web applique because it’s versatile and allows her to create unique images. Margie is well-known for her Seasonal Skinnies patterns, the flagship of Ribbon Candy Quilt Company. Margie’s designs have been in a number of publications, including Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Quiltmaker magazine, American Patchwork and Quilting 2013 calendar, and the book Springtime in the Rockies , with more publications on the way.
