She has butterflies thinking about starting a new adventure. She wants to go, but she also wants to stay home with her big dog, Scruffles. Things get a little off track when they hurry out the door. Her dog escapes the yard, and Lindy has to go capture him and bring him home. When she gets back to the house with Scruffles, her mother is missing. Lindy searches and finds her stuck in the doggie door! She was trying to get back into the house to look for the missing the keys. Lindy has to lend a hand to get her mother unstuck from the doggie door, giggling throughout it all. When they finally arrive at school, Lindy meets her teacher and quickly makes a new friend. She finds that going to school is nothing to be afraid of. She has a lot of fun on her first day and is looking forward to going back again.
