Smelling discusses the nose and how it senses smells in the air. Each book includes a very simple diagram, offering a side view of the head's interior featuring the eye or nose and the brain. The other illustrations are clear, colorful photographs. The simple concepts, short texts, and pleasing layout will appeal to young readers; preschool teachers and early primary grade teachers will find the books useful for units on the senses.
