Standard factory systems gain louder and improved full-range sound, while premium Alpine systems gain some volume along with crisper, clearer mids and highs. All models gain enhanced frontal imaging by pivoting the sound toward the listeners. Pivot-Pods are Plug-and-Play with included wire harnesses that connect directly to your factory speaker harness; no cutting or splicing of wires. Installation is completed in just a few minutes with zero cutting or drilling required. Simply pop off the factory grille covers, remove the factory speakers, and then push the pods in place with the included retaining clips. Connect and secure your new speakers and mount the included grilles. All holes are pre-drilled for a very quick and easy install. What’s cool is you can always move the pods out of the way for a moment to update any Inspection or Parking Permit decals, then just pop them back in place when you’re done! You can add your own favorite 3-1/2” speakers* or you can get the pods with Kicker 3-1/2” speakers included (model PVP-1202-K), with each speaker rated at 30 watts rms. Detailed instructions with photos are included with every pair of Pivot-Pods. *Pivot-Pods are designed to accept the typical 3-1/2” speakers which have the mounting tabs or “wings” on either side of the speaker’s frame. The pods can only house these kind of typical 3-1/2” speakers -- the frame diameter of the speaker (usually about 3.42” or 3.43”) cannot exceed 3.5”.
